Sharing "A Moment" with @msamberpriley . . This is a beautiful and new song by Riley (aka Mercedes Jones from Glee) and she also created a competition for people to duet with her. I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to sing with this talented performer (one of my fav from the show), so I filmed my own duet video. I even worked it down to the small details to make it as in sync as possible and feel like we were actually singing together in real time 😁 Now, if THAT could happen... 😱🙈 That'd be absolutely crazy awesome! . . If you didn't know, Glee is probably THE tv show that impacted my life the most and ultimately gave me a big boost of confidence to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. I was in university when Glee came out and it was also around then when I joined 2 collegiate a cappella groups, which made me feel very connected to the show that was focused on a singing group in a school setting. As I studied to become a high school teacher, I founded 2 Glee Clubs of my own at 2 different schools and even started a Glee Watching Club where students would meet up after class and watch the show together! . . Another important reason Glee stood out for me is because after living in Canada for over a decade, this was the first time I saw someone on TV I could related to and actually connect with, and that's @harryshumjr . I've had so many talks with people about Asians, especially oriental Asians, being underrepresented in various parts of the entertainment community (even more so back then). Seeing HSJ in the show gave me hope that it is possible for an Asian male to work in the entertainment industry (I wish he got to sing more in the show, but that's another story).
